Meet Mickenzie
Mickenzie R. Grubb is a dedicated family law attorney with a strong commitment to helping individuals navigate complex legal matters with confidence and clarity. Born in Dayton, Ohio, Mickenzie spent much of her upbringing in Northern California before returning to her roots to pursue her legal career.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University, graduating with honors in 2018. While there, she also obtained a minor in Business Management and a Public Law Certificate, solidifying her foundation in legal studies. Passionate about advocacy and the law, Mickenzie returned to Ohio to attend the University of Dayton School of Law, where she further honed her skills in family law.
During law school, Mickenzie was an active leader, serving as a staff member and Executive Board member of the Dayton Law Review. She was also elected President of the 1L Board, representing her class in the Student Bar Association. As a Dean’s Fellow, she mentored first-year law students, guiding them toward academic success. In May 2021, Mickenzie graduated with a Juris Doctorate, specializing in Personal & Family Law.
Before joining SM Law, Mickenzie gained valuable experience working at a prominent family law firm in Dayton for over three years. Now, she is focused on serving families throughout Southwest Ohio, bringing her legal expertise and compassionate approach to every case.
Mickenzie is actively involved in the legal community as a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Dayton Bar Association, where she was selected for the Leadership Development Class of 2022-2023.
